I really meant it when I said I didn’t need a bone marrow transplant, but I lied when I said I didn’t need anything from you, and I understand now that you have everything you need from me.

Maybe there’s a better way to show how clever I am, but, Jeopardy fans, it’s a pretty good one! Especially because both phrases are related!!

I’m pretty good at these word games.

It’s not full rejection, yet, but after a year and a half, I have to accept that everyone gets to set their own boundaries. I’m still egocentric enough that it’s hard to remember how different other people are from me and how real and authentic their lives are. I’m getting there.
